Jonnie Peacock MBE

Double Paralympic T44 100m Champion

EQ Nutrition has announced a long term partnership with double Paralympic Champion, World & European gold medallist Jonnie Peacock.

EQ will be supporting Jonnie up to the 2020 Tokyo Games where he has aspirations of winning his third Paralympic gold medal.

Peacock contracted meningitis at the age of five, which resulted in him having his right leg amputated just below the knee and ran his first international race at the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester 2012. Peacock then went on to win gold in the T44 100m sprint event in both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

In 2014, Peacock turned to EQ nutrition for advice as he began to feel tired and fatigued due to intense training sessions and then started using EQ products.

Peacock commented: “I am very excited to form a relationship with a brand that I have trusted for a number of years due to the unquestionable quality of their products. EQ products have been a solid factor in my continued progression and hard work since the 2012 Olympics and I can’t wait to work closely with the brand for the foreseeable future”

EQ Nutrition co-founder Simon Stevens added: “I have been a massive fan of Jonnie since watching him take gold in the London 2012 Olympic Games. This was when I first reached out to Jonnie and he began using the EQ range. He has everything I want in an EQ ambassador such as the integrity, passion, dedication and ability to find the edge that you need to be an elite athlete and inspire others. This is an incredibly exciting time for EQ now as we grow our retail distribution and start to expand and grow the business and we are thrilled that Jonnie will be a major part of our plans in the next few years”.
